Famous for: Dandi March by Mahatma Gandhi

Dandi beach is one of the well-known Indian beaches located in the Dandi district, Gujrat. It is near this beach, where Mahatma Gandhi completed his salt satyagraha march in protest to the salt tax law established by the British government. The monument of Mahatma Gandhi is constructed in Dandi Beach.

Tithal Beach ( International Kite Festival)

Location: Gujarat

Famous for: Black Sand, Kite  competition

This beach spreads from the Arabian Sea to Tithal town in Valsad district, Gujrat. It is renowned for its Beach festival and also hosts the International Kite Festival.

It is endowed with two temples which are Shree Shirdi Saibaba Sansthan and Shri Swaminarayan Mandir and a meditation center.

Recently, aquatic sports like speed boats and Jet-ski is open for adrenaline thirsty tourists.

Mandrem Beach (Great Spot for Surfers)

Location: North Goa

Famous for: Exotic palm trees, cashew feni

A coastal region village that is a sought out beach for tourists. Mandrem Beach lies at the center of the twin beaches of Arambol and Ashwem. Tarkarli Beach (Queen of beaches)

Location: Sindhudurg, Maharashtra

Tarkarli beach is crowned as the Queen of beaches among the Konkan region.

Panambur beach is one of the prominent beaches located in the city of Mangalore, Karnataka. It’s quite famous due to its proximity to the city and is adjacent to the New Mangalore Port.

Now of the most famous and serene beaches of North Goa, this region is also known as “Little Russia” owing to its  Russian influence. The region is known for its Russian cuisine. It is one of the three nesting regions of Olive Ridley turtles and thus is a protected environment. Beach parties are prohibited near or on the beach.

However, places farther than the beach are always buzzing with parties and music. Due to its shallow depth, it’s more suited for swimming activities and kite-surfing.
